He didn't release much music. 'One foot stuck in the tar pit of my ways' is a bar that just latched on to me.Lyrically it's 10 minutes of Earl talking to himself, about himself, asking himself where it all went wrong. Every time I listen it hits me just like the first time. The way he falls apart after the first "my second thoughts"; this is a man you can visibly see breaking down in front of you, completely exposing his darkest times for the whole world to see.I really don't know how to close this.
It feels like he made this project therapeutically, to try and do something with the thoughts he has.What's interesting to me is that he disappeared for three years after this. I recommend everyone who's fiending for more Earl go check out the unreleased tracks that hes been performing at his live shows.
