The message was not at all subtle, which doesn't make the movie bad, it just makes your statement wrong.The most mind blowing thing abt it is that the rich mom won a blue award for her crappy performance,worst part of the film for me,I loved the film ,It was solid but it's definitely highly overrated ,I guess it has lot to do with people not used to good Korean films(there's lot) ? They depend on each other so completely that they seem to function less like individuals than like a single organism. Damn. But why?? The rich family is playing by the rules; go to school, work hard, get good grades, get a good job. I am similarly confused. At the end of the credits, the MAIN TITLE, in strange calligraphy, fills the screen -- “PARASITE” MUSIC FADES.

Then, it takes a turn into strangeness that feels more familiar to Bong Joon-Ho; but which mostly resolves through sitcom logic.
